Class Action Investor Lawsuits Alleging Fraud in Securities Lending Program
I was part of a team working for the defendant — a large multinational financial services company headquartered in the U.S. — in a series of high-stakes cases alleging fraud and mismanagement of the bank’s multibillion-dollar securities lending program.
The graphics strategy sought to initially establish a baseline understanding of the bank’s securities lending program by providing tutorial diagrams of its structure and strategy and how it functioned within the context of the financial crisis of 2006–2008. Then, relying heavily on detailed data-visualization tools, the demonstratives further explored market conditions and provided visual support showing that the plaintiffs’ comparatively minimal losses were more attributable to the unforeseeable economic downturn than to any fraud or mismanagement they had alleged.
